If you are looking for some easy Halloween crafts and decorations, you have come to the right place! By using common household items and a little ingenuity, you can create some of the best Halloween decorations around. Below are a few suggestions along with some great web sites to get you started right away!

Luminaries

Starting with outside Halloween decorations, consider lighting your walkway with paper bag luminaries. Basically, you take a simple brown paper lunch bag and cut out a Halloween design such as a pumpkin face, a witch or a skeleton. Use spray paint to paint the bag either orange or black. Place sand in the bottom of the bag to weigh it down. You don’t want to use large candles to light the bags, so use tea candles or small votive candles inside glass votive cups. Place the candles into the sand and light for a nice, creepy effect and a great way to lead trick or treaters to your porch!

You can get the same effect of the paper bag luminaries by using Mason canning jars. First, take and cut out a Halloween design as above from a piece of paper. Tape the paper to the front of a Mason jar and spray paint with orange or black paint. Then place a candle inside the jar and you have a glass luminary!

Window Decorations

Simple orange construction paper can turn into great window decorations you can add to your arsenal of easy Halloween crafts and decorations. Just cut out a pumpkin face and tape several to a window to cover the entire window. Light from behind with a simple table lamp and – VOILA – you have some great window peeps to greet visitors.

Halloween Candles

You can also take a simple candle (orange or black) and glue on decorations for more easy Halloween crafts. Use candy corn, black beading, sequins, or whatever your mind can come up with to decorate the candle. Don’t use hot glue as this will melt the candle. Simple white school glue will do just fine.
